Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

Motion Publisher is a personal tool that runs on its owner's own computer. It has no servers of its own and no other users.

Data it accesses

When the owner connects a YouTube account through Google sign-in, Motion Publisher requests permission to upload and manage videos on that channel and to read basic channel and video information (such as titles, view counts and comments) for the owner's own reports.

When the owner connects an Instagram professional account, Motion Publisher requests permission to read the account's basic profile (user ID, username, account type) and to publish Reels to it.

When the owner connects a TikTok account, Motion Publisher requests permission to read the account's basic profile (display name, avatar) and to upload videos to the account's TikTok inbox, where the owner finishes each post in the TikTok app.

How the data is used

Data is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not shared with anyone.

Where the data is stored

Access tokens and upload records are stored only on the owner's computer, in a local database, with tokens encrypted. Data is sent only to the platform being published to (Google/YouTube, Instagram, TikTok). For Instagram, which fetches videos by URL, the video being published is made reachable for a short time through a temporary, randomly named link to that one file, which is closed after the upload.

Google API Services

Motion Publisher's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. It uses YouTube API Services; see the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Removing access

Access can be revoked at any time: Google at myaccount.google.com/permissions, Instagram in the app under Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites, and TikTok in the app under Settings → Security → Manage app permissions. Deleting the local Motion Publisher data folder removes all stored data.
